As nekojin, Shard’s hunting skills are of great benefit to the old fishing village, where he currently resides with his mate Brianna, a human. Not overly fond of the sea following the incident chronicled Midnight on the Manatee, he has nevertheless attempted to learn basic fishing skills. Friends with both Darin and Rinloh, he opens his home when Darin visits the village.
