One of the smallest of the sentient species on Arvia, these green-skinned humanoids stand just waist high to the average human. Lack of size, lack of strength, a lack of any special abilities, and mediocre magic affinity has resulted in goblin settlements being found in locations many other species would scoff at, such as swamps. They fortify and defend said settlements as best as they are able, often utilizing whatever materials are at hand, such as the shells of monstrous crabs and oysters, creature bones, and the wood of trees so gnarled and twisted, any human carpenter would dismiss as firewood. Hence the expression “goblin built,” is often a slang term for shoddy workmanship. Nevertheless, their survival on such a dangerous world demonstrates that resourcefulness is often the most critical survival trait. And those that have made the effort to befriend goblins have found them to be affable, willing trade partners.
