This mid sized reptilian predator featuring a pair of clawed forelimbs and a serpentine tail is common to many forested regions of Arvia. The creatures are adept climbers and will readily pursue prey into the treetops. In fact, so synonymous is the creature with forests, that it features as a suit in the standard Arvian deck of cards together with its predominant terrain. Aside from mobility and a powerful set of jaws, the creatures possess no special abilities, magical or otherwise. And while they prey upon any creature small enough to overpower, including humans, they, like many other hazardous Arvian fauna are not mindlessly aggressive. Semi-intelligent and calculating, they will rarely press an engagement with a determined foe, and often back down from armed adventurers in groups who know to stand their ground.
