The nekojin, frequently known as ‘nekos’ for short, are a humanoid race with certain cat-like features. They tend to be taller than humans, though lightly built. They are swift and agile, aided by a pronounced tail. Their senses differ from that of many other species, meaning that in the wilderness a mixed-species group skillfully incorporating their unique attributes can increase their survival chances. Nekojin have sensitive hearing, and vertically-slitted eyes capable of seeing in dim light. However, their sense of scent is mediocre at best–barely equal to that of a human, while their sense of taste is quite poor. In addition, their magic affinity is rather low: on par, or below human level. Nekojin mages are rare indeed.
